DAMPERS MAINTENANCE

Following are some of the recommended performance monitoring and maintenance tasks for the dampers.
The frequency of these tasks should be as indicated or based on operating experience -   
  • External visual inspections of damper movement - semi annual
  • Internal visual inspection of the damper blade seals (mainly important for isolation function) - annual.
  • Lubrication of damper blades shaft bearings as required - as required
  • Calibration of the damper blade & actuator positioning - annual

Following are the recommended maintenance tasks for the actuators -
Pneumatic -
  • External visual inspection of the linkages and lubrication as required
  • Periodic replacement of the diaphram or piston seals
  • Periodic replacement of the solenoid valves

Electric motor -
  • External visual inspection of the linkages and lubrication as required
  • Lubrication of the reduction gears and mechanisms

Electro Hydraulic -
  • External visual inspection of the linkages and lubrication as required
  • Change hydraulic oil and filter
  • Calibration of internal controls
  • Periodic overhaul and replacement of internal components - piston and shaft seals, pump and motor,
    solenoid valves, etc.
